WHAT TO SEE IN CEFALU '
- Cathedral, Piazza Duomo
The Cathedral Basilica of the Transfiguration is a UNESCO heritage site as part of the Arab-Norman itinerary of Palermo, Cefalù, Monreale.
Commissioned by Ruggiero II, it was begun in 1131, in the interior mosaic of Christ Pantocrator.
To visit: Sacristy, Cathedral Treasury, Sansoni Room, Bishop's Chapel, Cloister, Climb on the Towers.
- Medieval washhouse, Corso Vittorio Emanuele
In 1514 the original structure was demolished and the wash house was built which over the years has remained incorporated into the buildings, accessed by going down a staircase in lumachella stone.
- Museo Mandralisca, Via Mandralisca, 21
It contains the historical collections of Baron Enrico Piraino di Mandralisca including the famous Portrait of a Man by Antonello da Messina.
- Cicero Theater, Via Spinuzza
Its history begins in 1814, in 1818 after only 2 years it is completed with the typical type of Italian theater, transformed into a cinema, closed for restoration in 1975. It was a film set for the film "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso" by Tornatore.
- Osterio Magno, Corso Ruggiero corner with via Amendola
Built in the 13th century as Ruggiero II's Domus Regia.
- Megalithic walls
They had been defending the city since the 5th century BC from Piazza Garibaldi, Paramuro descent along the cliff, some sections of it can still be seen.
- Rocca
From piazza Garibaldi and then via G. Fiore
Walk with beautiful views, caves that can only be visited occasionally.
Temple of Diana prior to the 2nd century BC Cistern dating from the 9th century BC Walls.
- Gibilmanna
At 795 m. above sea level is the Capuchin Convent, the Sanctuary and a small museum.

- Lungomare G. Giardina with stretches of free beach and lidos.
- Caldura: on foot you pass the port while by car you follow the signs for the Kalura hotel, from a passage next to the Bluebay you can access the staircase leading to the beach.
- Mazzaforno: 3 km towards Palermo, near the motorway junction, turn right towards the “Sporting Club”.
- Settefrati: 3 km towards Palermo, near the motorway junction, turn right towards the Bordonaro Castle, near the 7 Emiri residence a path leads to the beach.
- Capo Playa: about 4 km towards Palermo, turn right towards the Carlton hotel and left after the level crossing.
- Sant'Ambrogio: about 6 Km towards Messina
